Detroit Diesel Oil Cooler Housing and Cover Assembly - Castings 5125288 / 5101742 - Used

Detroit Diesel-style cast-iron engine oil cooler housing with bolted cover. Casting numbers 5101742 (cover) and 5125288 (housing), with a 10-26-79 foundry date code cast alongside. These are casting numbers, not confirmed orderable OEM service part numbers.

Application: Marketplace references associate these castings with Detroit Diesel engines, including 92-series / 6V-92 marine applications. Application is NOT verified — sold by photographs, cast identifiers, and dimensions. Buyer must confirm against their own housing and the OEM parts book.

Condition: Used, untested take-off. Complete as an assembly in the photos. Paint chipping, surface rust and pitting on one side and along the lower flange, corrosion in bolt recesses, old gasket residue at the cover joint. The cover has not been opened, so internal cooler core condition is unknown. No testing of any kind has been performed. Will be drained and ports capped before shipping.
