Twin Disc MG-5050-A marine transmission (marine reverse-reduction gear), removed from service and offered as an untested used unit / rebuildable core.

Application: Marine propulsion gear from the Twin Disc MG-5050 series. Nameplate is stamped MG-5050-A with build/spec number S-9538; the ratio and rating lines on the plate are corroded and illegible, so gear ratio, rotation, and original engine application are NOT verified. Application not verified — sold by photographs, identifiers, and dimensions.

Condition: Used, untested. Cast iron case with control valve on top and output flange on the aft face. Heavy paint loss and surface rust throughout, including the mounting foot, flange face, and hardware. Rotation, internal clutch/gear condition, and leak-free operation have not been tested and are not represented. Cooler, damper plate, adapter housing, couplings, and linkage are not confirmed included. Gear oil will be drained and ports capped before shipping. Heavy item — palletized freight only.
